The Executive Assistant EA to the Delta state Governor on Media and former Delta NUJ Chairman,Comrade Norbert Chiazor said the victory of Alhassan Yahya as National President, Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ confirmed the triumph of positive history inspired by humility and determination above all struggles.
In a goodwill message, Mr Chiazor said the emergence of Yayha “proved outstanding but not stunning” as he was remarkably expected to defeat all contenders by his track record.
Speaking from BFI Southbank London, where he is attending an international media engagement, the former Delta NUJ popularly called the Wordsmith said he was confident that “Yahya as NUJ president would bring the union to unprecedented professionalism and progress”.
Chiazor who served as Delta NUJ Chairman when Yayha was on the saddle as Gombe state NUJ Chairman years back described him as a “personal friend ,humble confidante and long standing partner in our great union ”
He commended Delta Delegates and other journalists across the country for “rising together on the path of excellent judgement” noting that a better future would bloom under Yayha to the greatness of the union and glory of God.
